Biography

Vito A. Pinto is a skilled litigator that has handled a wide variety of complex civil defense matters in the state and federal venues including product liability, breach of warranty, general liability, catastrophic personal injury, property damage, Dram Shop and construction defect matters.  Mr. Pinto also represents and advises clients in a wide variety of commercial litigation matters involving breach of contract and Consumer Fraud.  He routinely handles appeals of these disputes before the New Jersey Appellate Division and the New Jersey Supreme Court.

Vito is a responsive, business-focused and detail-driven partner to his clients, which range from large corporations and corporate counsel to sophisticated business owners and closely held family businesses and individuals.  Many of his clients have worked with Vito for decades, relying on him to handle a full range of their litigation, transaction and regulatory matters.

Vito previously served as Regional Litigation Counsel for a publicly traded corporation overseeing all of its commercial litigation and product liability disputes in the northeastern region of the United States which included monitoring outside counsel and reporting directly to the General Counsel.  Prior to joining the firm, Vito was the Managing Partner of the New Jersey office of a mid-sized regional law firm.

Before entering private practice, Vito was Law Clerk to the Honorable James J. Petrella, Presiding Judge of the New Jersey Appellate Division.

Vito graduated with Honors from the George Washington University National Law Center where he served on the Moot Court Honor Board and on the Journal of International Law and Economics.

Vito is active in both the Union County and New Jersey State Bar Associations.  He teaches trial advocacy to high school students in connection with Essex County’s Vincent J. Apruzzese Mock Trial Competition.  He is also frequent writer and lecturer on issues relating to litigation matters.
